Michael Talbot
SYNCHRONICITY AND THE HOLOGRAPHIC UNIVERSE (#W130)

90 min.
$49.95

The holographic model allows us to conceptualize phenomena that have remained on the fringes of science -- synchronicities, psychic experiences, UFOs, poltergeists, spiritual experiences, states of higher consciousness. In part one of this two part program Michael Talbot discusses the holographic model of brain functioning and the "implicate order" model of quantum physics. He proposes that these two models combined explain many unsolved mysteries in both brain functioning (such as memory and vision) and quantum physics (such as the problem of hidden variables and quantum interconnectedness).
In part two, Talbot discusses his own unusual experiences with poltergeist phenomena and UFOs. He suggests that the holographic model provides a means for understanding these experiences without falling into the twin traps of skeptical debunking or occult romanticism.
Michael Talbot is author of Mysticism and the New Physics, Beyond the Quantum, Your Past Lives and The Holographic Universe. He has also authored four novels. This program was taped approximately six months before his untimely death in May 1992.

Jeremy Taylor
HOW TO CONDUCT A DREAM WORKSHOP (#W331)

90 min.
$49.95

Dream workshops are based on the premise that all dreams are in the service of health, wholeness and actualization. Each individual is the sovereign authority regarding the interpretation of their own dreams, yet every dream has many valid interpretations. All participants in the workshop preface their interpretations by saying, "If this were my dream..."
In this comprehensive two-part program, Jeremy Taylor provides all necessary information for those wishing to organize their own dream workshops. He discusses the selection of participants, the basic ground rules, introductory processes, dream interpretation guidelines and closing processes. He also offers suggestions for remembering and recording dreams.
Jeremy Taylor is a Unitarian minister, author of Dreamwork, and a leading advocate of leaderless dream workshops.

Other Jeremy Taylor titles:
Working With Dreams (#S333)

Colin Wilson
THE HIGH AND THE LOW (#W135)

90 min.
$49.95

In this moving and profound program, Colin Wilson shares his personal struggle in dealing with states of panic and depression. His attempt to cope with these difficult experiences has led him to explore states of extreme lucidity and self-control.
In Part II, he elaborates on his "Laurel and Hardy" theory of consciousness as a model for attaining optimal mental functioning. Crisis situations often thrust us into higher states of consciousness by forcing us to gain a psychological grip on ourselves. Imagination, he says, can lead us to states of alienation and depression. He presents his model of seven levels of consciousness ranging from extreme depression to the transcendence of space and time.
Colin Wilson is one of the most prolific writers in the English language. His novels include The Mind Parasites, The Philosopher's Stone and Sex Diary of a Metaphysician. Other major works include A Criminal History of Mankind, The Occult, Mysteries, Religion and the Rebel, The New Existentialism, New Pathways in Psychology and The Outsider--his first and most famous book.

Robert Anton Wilson
CONSCIOUSNESS, CONSPIRACY AND COINCIDENCE (#W140)

90 min.
$49.95

The deep structure of reality is related to both linguistics and to synchronicity. In Part One of this two-part program, Robert Anton Wilson speaks with characteristic humor of his involvement in the Discordian Society which honors the two great cosmic forces of order and chaos. He also makes observations about such religious movements as the Church of the Subgenius, and the Church of Fred Mertz Boddhisatva.
In part two, Wilson discusses the parallel universe hypothesis of quantum physics and its implications for literature and psychology. He discusses the history of conspiracies and defends his interest in subjects that are considered most taboo by society at large. He concludes by reflecting on the taoist wisdom embodied in the old Kung Fu television series.
Robert Anton Wilson is a humorist, novelist, guerilla ontologist and futurist psychologist. He is author of twenty-six books including the classic Illuminatus trilogy, the Schrodinger's Cat trilogy, The Cosmic Trigger, Coincidance, Prometheus Rising, Ishtar Rising, Masks of the Illuminati, Wilhelm Reich in Hell, Quantum Psychology and Reality is What You Can Get Away With.

Fred Alan Wolf
SHAMANIC PHYSICS (#W405)

90 min.
$49.95

Shamans see the world as made up of vibrations, using resonance between individuals to effect healings. In part one of this two-part series, Fred Alan Wolf discusses his efforts to explain shamanic realities in terms of modern physics. He suggests that shamans interact with parallel universes and are able to enter into the world of the dead.
In part two, Wolf describes in greater length his interactions with shamans among the North American Sioux Indians, in the jungles of Peru and in England. He confesses that he observed many things among the shamans that were unexplainable to him in terms of modern physics, noting that the shamans he worked with were loving healers who touched him in a deep and nurturing manner.
Fred Alan Wolf is a physicist and author of Space Time and Beyond, Taking the Quantum Leap, The Body Quantum, Star*Wave, Parallel Universes and The Eagle's Quest.

Other Fred Alan Wolf titles:
The Spiritual Universe (#H200);
The Dreaming Universe (#H370);
Physics and Consciousness (#S450).

Arthur M. Young
ASTROLOGY AND SCIENCE (#W032)

90 min.
$49.95

The planets in astrology represent important distinctions concerning the different realms of reality that often become confused in science. In part one of this two-part program, Arthur M. Young states that insights about angular relationships were very important in the development of the helicoptor and led him to develop a model in which the measure formulae of physics are expressed in a manner isomorphic to the signs of the zodiac.
In part two, Young elaborates on the difference between the planets Saturn, Uranus and Neptune, explaining how the planetary cycles of Saturn have had significance in his own life. He discusses the use of progressed charts in astrology from the perspective of systems theory in which whole cycles are embedded within each other. Astrology, he suggests, is a larger more comprehensive system than science. Scientists can benefit from studying it regardless of its application in individual horoscopes.
Arthur M. Young, born in 1905, was the inventor of the Bell Helicoptor. He was also founder of the Institute for the Study of Consciousness in Berkeley, California, and author of The Reflexive Universe and The Geometry of Meaning.

Other Arthur M. Young titles:
Evolution-The Great Chain of Being (#S510);
Determinism, Free Will and Fate(#S500);
The Self and the Universe (#S004);
Number and Meaning (#S462).

Gary Zukav
THE SEAT OF THE SOUL (#W212)

90 min.
$49.95

The path to understanding the soul is through the heart, not the mind. In part one of this two-part program, Gary Zukav maintains that the process of spiritual growth is one of aligning the personality with the soul. He also suggests that an understanding of the soul necessitates a nonjudgmental reverence for all of life.
In part two, Zukav states that we have crossed a major threshold in which we are learning to seek the spiritual empowerment of the soul rather than the superficial rewards of external power. He discusses the role of spirit guides and teachers, as well as intuition, in facilitating the growth of the soul, and suggests that native American peoples have maintained an appreciation for the soul that has largely been lost in modern society.
Gary Zukav is author of The Dancing Wu-Li Masters, which won the American Book Award for Science in 1979, as well as the national bestseller, The Seat of the Soul.
